YUWA is also working in awareness and implementation of SDGs solely and also in partnership.

“The Youth Empowerment-Youth Leadership and Data workshop gave our team the opportunity to learn techniques to better our action plan and forefront our growth with pertinent takeaways. I gained a lot of value and insights from the core data model and the principles taught in the data workshop.”
I was aware of what data was but completely oblivious to open data before the workshop. The three days training had varied sessions empowering us in diverse ways about open data formats. In the process, we also made our own program formats aligning with open data to effectively and efficiently plan to create activities for a complete process of our action plan implementation. Knowing about open data has made a huge difference to my professional career. I have been using it as a successful tool for standardizing my documents to generate evidence based data.
Many times I attend trainings and leave with bulk of information but no concrete ideas. I loved the fact that I went back with ideas I could implement right away from this workshop. To reign the practice of open data in our community, we should develop simple program sessions on open data to different age group people in our community. As recommended by our teachers who attended our previous program, I am now thinking to give continuity to our action plan in a community base comprehensive of open data information sessions.

Youth Leadership and Data under the project Youth Empowerment-Youth Leadership and Data has created a network of young leaders who are capable of leading and supporting the development of their community through the use of open data as evidence for youth-led and data-driven development.
The project is supported by DFID Nepal, The Asia Foundation and Development Initiatives in coordination with Nepal in Data, Open Knowledge Nepal and NAXA.
